The team helped the client to set up and scale a new innovation facility to research and trial new concepts before passing the learnings, and prototype designs and outputs to a delivery function for national rollout. Having only limited funding initially, the innovation facility was built up using minimal infrastructure, and open source technologies, but was able to demonstrate such value that additional funding was provided to scale the facility and take on new projects. Members of the Devsultants team provided support to a national policing organisation to help them reduce ongoing operational costs, freeing up funds to develop new capabilities to help reduce crime and save lives. Working closely with a blended team of platform and application suppliers, our team developed the overall architecture for a major new operational capability for the client. In order to facilitate the client’s requirement to have early access to some of the capabilities, the architecture was designed with multiple MVP transition states to align with the envisioned growth in usage over time. As a result of subsequent (and substantial) environmental changes, the architecture required further modification, but our team was able to work in an agile way with the client and other suppliers to modify and update the architectural transition states, and maintain alignment with the required timeframes for delivery of the new capabilities, to help ensure that the client and their partner organisations could achieve the desired benefits.
